During the seat division in Bihar, Amit Shah had promised Ramvilas Paswan for a Rajya Sabha seat in Assam to retain LGP in NDA. 2 seats of Assam’s Rajya Sabha will be vacant on 14th June. And Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal and BJP in Assam are strongly against this decision on the basis of issues like giving rise to non-Assamese in Assam, especially, considering the case of NRC and citizenship bill. In such a scenario, if Paswan joins them, then the vote bank may deplete and a lot of issues might crop up. Now, the question is, will Shah be able to keep his promise of giving 1 seat of Assam with BJP’s quota? Modi ji needs to join in for resolving this issue.
