He has so much of inclination towards the literature that many times during his speech he uses Urdu, Bengali, Hindi and English. He is an avid reader and has also served as the Professor of a university. During an event of Kuldeep Kumar “Bina Jiya Jeevan,” Tripathi announced without even meeting Kumar that Kumar’s introduction happened. During 70s, when he was in the Allahabad University, he used to read the poems of Kumar that were published in the newspaper. He has had admired Kumar’s writing since then. He has even told that a good poet is known through his own writings/ poems. According to him the real talent of the poet is seen in his or he work that carries an art of traditions while giving a personal touch to it – quoting “Traditional and Individual Talent,” but T.S. Eliot. BJP also appreciates Prasad’s take on literature.
