From the beginning, BJP and Shiv Sena leaders were adamant for their respective seats. Comments were made by both side and at one time it was looking like both will part away but BJP leaders decided to sit again and discuss the strategy. CM of Maharashtra was adamant not to go beyond 80 seats and Shiv Sena wanted to have around 125 seats. Sources say  Gadkari was deputed to take forward the talk, a straight forward politician had a plain talk with CM and made him understand reasons to finalise pact and announced 124 seats for Shiv Sena. Leaders of Shiv Sena were also very happy to get this unexpected number of seats. They were expecting not more than 114 seats. With seat adjustment, both the parties are pretty sure to grab more seats?
