Tough negotiations were going on in that Congress had to forego the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Once the situation became so tense that person like Patel, never looses his cool, lost temper in the meeting, Prafful Patel handled the situation and made everyone to agree but in the meantime sources say Ajit Pawar left the meeting in protest. Sharad Pawar, who was also in the meeting intervened and decided to have the power in the state keeping all other things by side for the interest of the state?
