Congress party is having a strong party structure in Delhi. The recent win of Congress candidates in some states also worked as a morale booster but in spite of all, no senior leader of the party is ready to contest. To field winning candidates party has done a lot of spadework and the Chief of Congress also issued instructions to all senior leaders including ex-MP, ex MLA to contest but except one ex-MP no one has come forward and by this or that trying to convince leadership not to pursue them to contest. Reason to avoid is not understood, sources say. Some say this is only to avoid one bad entry in their CV. Probably keeping eyes on future elections?
