In this lockdown period and additional expenditures to fight COVID - 19, the President of India has curtailed the expenditure on flowers and decorations. The list of guests and items of lunch/ dinner drastically reduced. President also donated 30% of his entire salary for one full year in addition to one month's salary already committed. Sources say he has also deferred the purchase of limousine, which was earlier finalized. Sources say such step by State Head enthuses others to do something.
