CM of Bengal, Ms. Mamta Banerjee is trying to take back all her ex-party members in the party. Sources say this is to counter the BJP move of taking all unsatisfied members in their fold to strengthen the party and put up strong challenges in the state elections, to be held within twelve months. Kunal Ghosh, the ex Rajya Sabha Member is taken back in the party after coming out from jail after three years. He was suspected to be involved in the Sarda Chit fund. Sources say Ghosh in the past directly accused party as a beneficiary of the scam. He is now party Spokesperson and likely to get a party ticket to contest state election. Sources add that Mukul Roy, the then key figure in TMC, left the party and joined BJP and did his best to strengthen BJP, is also to come back to the home party, sources say after a poor performance in 2019 elections his charm probably vanished for BJP. Sources said recently in a meeting of BJP parliamentarians and leaders, he was not invited, and in response to the questions, the party-state chief replied that all invitees attended the meeting. A clear indication of the present importance of one time blue-eyed boy of BJP?
