Verbal exchange of views on many different subjects is now a practice in West Bengal due to upcoming state elections, sources say. Shubhendu Adhikari, one time very close to Mamta didi desires to contest elections from Bhowanipore also probably taking a clue from a declaration of Mamta Didi that she will contest elections from Nandigram, the constituency of Adhikari. Sources say the BJP Chief of the state gone on record Adhikari will contest from Nandigram and defeat Mamta Didi. Mr Adhikari softened his stand and said Thai he wants to contest from Bhowanipore if the party allows. The percentage of votes cast in favour of Mamta Didi gone down, in Lok Sabha elections the margin of victory was very less for TMC. Sources say it is because non-Bengali votes, generally of Gujrati and Marwadi prefers to support other than TMC whereas in Nandigram constituency 20% Muslim voters likely to prefer TMC and Adhikari likely to have a tough time now after joining BJP. Sources say the announcement of Didi to contest from Nandigram has been seen as acceptance of the challenge of BJP and to boost the morale of TMC party workers?
