Leaving many aspirants speechless the Congress high command selected a Dalit to head the government in Punjab. Sources say, Channi is not the very senior leader and also faced the charge of misconduct, supposedly framed by his detractors after his open opposition of the Captain and support to  Siddhu. The time for the next state elections is very short and to bring back the rail of development is not so easy, sources say. Probably he will have to face the negative thinking and approach of some influential leaders but with the support of Sikh Jat leader Siddhu, if continues the combination likely to sail through the elections. After Mr (Late ) Gyani Jail Singh, Sri Channi has occupied the chair otherwise though not so in the majority but Jat Sikh always controlled the politics of Punjab. The outburst of Captain over TV and otherwise not taken in good spirits by the public in general, sources say and the sixty percent voters of Dalit and Jat Sikh combine likely to bring back Congress to power. The shrewd decision of congress leaders to put Channi on the front is also not criticized by many and everyone expects that within his short period he will do his best with the support of other senior leaders and PPC?
