Dinesh Trivedi was once time Railway minister from TMC quota, later replaced by Mukul Roy, since then he was silently passing his days but recently he was given chance BY DiDi in Rajya Sabha, sources say, he could not resists the allure of BJP and resigned from Rajya Sabha,   though more than five and half years was left of his tenure, in hope to get a ministerial position in central ministry, sources say. The stunning defeat of BJP has also sealed the fate of Trivedi because to provide a ministerial position, he will have to be a member of Rajya Sabha but sources say unfortunately BJP is not having any vacancy, and to be getting adjusted Trivedi will have to wait. Sources say, BJP has offered him a Governor position but it is difficult for him to accept?
