NDA and I.N.D.I.A leader never expected such a large turnout of voters during the first phase of voting in Bihar. The NDA leaders are happy and giving credit to the SIR for good governance, better booth management, and also discussing the successful transportation of migrant workers from different parts of the country to their respective places, according to a source. The Mahagathbandhan leaders attribute more than 65% of the voting to a change in voter mood, shifting away from caste politics towards the development of the state, establishment of business houses, factories, and better employment opportunities, as promised by their leaders, the source says. However, neither is very sure and keeps their fingers crossed until the final verdict after the second phase is out, the source says.
It's also a fact that many stalwarts of the BJP, including deputy chief ministers, have faced tough challenges and are uncertain about their results, the source says. The NDA flock is very confident that women voters have voted in mass for JD(U) and on the promises of the PM regarding developmental programs to be undertaken in the future, some say the cash transfer into the accounts of women voters also helped achieve a better percentage of voting, a top source added.
