Twelve IPS officers are in the race for the post of DGP Bihar Police.

According to sources a panel consisting names of tweleve IPS officers has been prepared and sent to UPSC for the final apporaval. These officers are:-

1- Rajesh Ranjan IPS(Bihar 1984 batch) DG CISF 

2- Rajesh Chandra IPS(Bihar 1985 batch) DG SSB

3- Sheel Vardhan Singh IPS(Bihar 1986 batch) Special Director IB 

4- S.S Ranjan IPS(Bihar 1986 batch) ADX IB

5- Manmohan Singh IPS(Bihar 1988 batch) ADX IB

6- Dinesh Singh Bisht IPS(Bihar 1987 batch) DG, Bihar Police

7- Arvind Pandey IPS(Bihar 1988 batch) DG Bihar Police.

8- S.K Singhal IPS(Bihar 1988 batch) DG Bihar Millitary Police, Bihar Police

9- Alok Raj IPS(Bihar 1989 batch) DG Training, Bihar Police.

10- R.S Bhatti IPS(Bihar  1990 batch) DG Armed Police, Bihar Police

11- Neeraj Sinha IPS(Bihar 1990 batch) IG BPR&D, MHA, Government of India.

12- Mrs. Shobha Aahotkar IPS(Bihar 1990 batch) Advisor Bihar State Planning Council.

Sources say that Arvind Panday and S.K Singhal are frontrunner in the race of the post of DGP Bihar Police.
