According to the recent developments, it has been learned that five names have been sent to UPSC for consideration for the post of DGP Meghalaya. These five names are
1-Mukesh Agarwal IPS (1989 batch) Special DG Border Assam 2-K.V Singh Deo IPS officer(1989 batch) Special DG Prosecution 3-L Ram Bishnoi IPS(1991 batch) Additional DG(T&AP) Government of Assam 4-SN Singh IPS(1991 batch) Special DG, Assam 5- Idashisha Nongrang IPS(1992 batch) Acting DGP Meghalaya
Though Idashisha Nongrang has been appointed as interim DGP of Meghalaya. She is considered as a frontrunner for the post of DGP Meghalaya. If everything goes well for her then soon she will be appointed as DGP in full capacity. Sources say.
