In a significant development, it has been learned that the UP government has started the process for appointing a full time DGP. According to sources following names have been shortlisted:
R.P Singh IPS(1987 batch) Raj Kumar Vishkarma(1988 batch) D.S Chauhan(1988 batch) Anil Kumar Agarwal(1988 batch) Vijay Kumar(1988 batch)
Sources add that though there are high chances that D.S Chauhan may get a full charge of DGP. However, many say that Vijay Kumar may be a dark horse in this race.
