The present Chief Secretary Usha Sharma IAS: 1985 batch gets six months extension in tenure as Chief Secretary. She will remain Chief Secretary till 31st December 2023. The proposal seeking Sharma's extension was sent to the center a few days ago and around yesterday night the center approved the extension proposal of the state government.
