Two years back, Manoj Yadava was in a tight position, and perhpas did not get a memorable farewell from the state, three points on APAR with adverse comments by the Haryana Home Minister dented the telfon-like shield of Yadava, especially with the center, as per top sources. This dent spoiled Yadava's efforts to become the Intelligence Bureau chief for which he was lobbying hard. When the Special Directors of IB were moving out after Tapan Deka took over, everyone wondered if Yadava might get some decent rehabilitation. Still, to much surprise, he was given an insignificant assignment by posting him in the NHRC. Almost a year later, the winds changed, and he got some elevation by moving to DG RPF. Power corridor wonders that in a situation where almost all his batchmates, except a few, are packing up their bags because they have been frozen in one place for years and never got a chance to swap to good positions, Yadava despite being in choppy waters, managed to navigate from dark clouds and at least got an entry into the paramilitary setting. According to top sources, it won't be surprising to see Yadava competing with Daljit Chaudhary for DG CRPF when S.L. Thaousen retires in November. Well, how much politically Yadava has been harmed that time will tell because he still has two years to take leaps. As we have seen, one case of Mukul Goel where political equations proved fatal for him, and despite having two years, he was stationed in the state and never called to center. Similarly, Yadava's case also goes, but somehow, the difference is that Yadava knows how to escape with minimum damage from political bombardments.
