G20 was a historic success where India showcased its diplomatic might and commitment to global issues and core principles of G20 without being influenced by the Russia vs. West Debate. However, diplomacy alone did not win, it was win of the nation's comprehensive national power. For instance, Delhi Police burned midnight oil behind the scenes to secure the on-ground arrangements and security protocols. It was a big test for the force as it demanded good strategic understanding, resources, logistics and whatnot. But, Delhi Police stood on every parameter with utmost professionalism and with fine operational and strategic wisdom. After 2010, Delhi Police did not brush itself with mega-events, The G20 Summit for Delhi Police was a herculean task for which Delhi Police had been preparing for one year. Delhi Police'succees also indicate the beginning of a strong strategic culture in the force, which will be instrumental in making Delhi Police- future-ready, more modernised and professional in the coming time. An assessment of Delhi Police's success also shows that the convergence of multiple factors contributed:

- Wise Leadership : The guidance of Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, who himself has operational and strategic understanding, kept the force's power on the right course.

- Strategic Firepower: Threats are snowballing with modern technology, and therefore, Delhi Police has to be armed with full-proof security, Delhi Police's decision to procure Russian Snipers, training with NSG commandos, IAF, Combative driving skills to police officers, anti-drone measures has increased Delhi Police's firepower and strategically armed them with combative skills and weapons.

- Communication & Intelligence: This was one the most crucial part of the whole preparation, The force leadership knew that Intelligence leakages and communication failure would lead to the collapse of the security grid, a somewhat similar incident to PM's carcade in Punjab. Delhi Police moved to a secure communication platform- the Sandesh app, where communication cannot be recorded, forwarded, etc. NIC briefing to the Delhi Police Commissioner on Sandes App indicated its comprehensive use by the police force. Intelligence was another issue, inter-agency coordination and Special Cell's wide presence on the ground kept the Intel factor in check.

- Law and Order: Special CPs of Law& Order Sagar Preet Hooda and Depender Pathak were on the ground heading their respective divisions and checking the corners of Delhi, dark/grey areas to keep check on law order issues and anti-social elements. Combing exercise, which is a search and clean operation in suspected areas, was conducted by Special CPs. Sagar Preet Hooda's combing exercise and Pathak's camping on the ground kept Delhi's Law and Order undisturbed.

- Force Economy: Estimating the correct use of the Force's manpower and distributing them effectively, complemented by logistical support, ensured a smooth movement and coordination between the PHQ and the place of the event.

- Common People Connect: Delhi Police PR Unit Suman Nalwa ensured deep connection with the people to ensure no misinformation campaign grips Delhities and a smooth cooperation between the public and police remains intact. Tourist Police facilitating foreign delegates and media persons is one more example to show Delhi Police people connect approach.
