The most interesting segment of her talk was her on-field experience in the UN peacekeeping operation as Chief of Misson Management, where she worked on increasing the intake of officers in the UN system, especially women. While giving a brief on the Women In UN Peacekeeping Operations, she also highlighted the challenges for uniform gender parity in the UN system. She said that gender bias, fewer women nominations, a small pool of qualified women at the national level and insufficient provision of gender-sensitive work are some key challenges. She concluded by stressing the need to ensure women's representation across all specializations in national forces.
