According to major developments in the power corridors, it has been learned from top sources that MHA has taken a serious view of installing acting DGPs in the states, especially Uttar Pradesh. This practice is a clear violation of SC guidelines, and this cannot become a trend; there are some states that are misusing the benefit of ad-hoc arrangements, a top source in MHA said. Top sources add that MHA will soon begin the process of asking the concerned states to comply with the SC guidelines and appoint regular DGPs.
