Harmeet Singh, IPS: AM: 1992  a tall and sagacious personality, is all set to take over as Assam DGP after the incumbent DGP G.P Singh's appointment as CRPF DG. As the second in command of Assam Police, Harmeet Singh will take charge in the coming weeks. Top sources say that Singh would not only continue the strategic rise of Assam Police, which began under his predecessor, but would also use and sharpen his tradecraft and cyber skills to improve the effectiveness of the Special Task Force and Special Branch.
