In a major development it has been learned that Kerala government has sent six names for appointment of next Kerala DGP to centre which will later be considered by UPSC and then the list will be sent back to state shortlisting three names by the UPSC. Sources add that as per seniority Road Safety Commissioner Nitin Agarwal tops the list followed by Special Director IB R.A Chandrashaker, Vigilance DG Yogesh Gupta ADGP Manoj Abraham, Suresh Raj Purohit and recently promoted DG rank officer MR Ajitkumar. Sources say that Vigilance director Yogesh Gupta and Manoj Abraham are key frontrunners for the post who will come under spotlight for next DGP after present DGP S Darvesh will retire in next few months i.e. 30th June.
