A CAPF DG is set to retire in the coming months, but interestingly, he never aspired for a DG accommodation in Delhi and instead chose to live in the CAPF's Guest House for his entire tenure. The DG has maintained a low presence but ensured that he delivered impactful leadership. In his tenure, the CAPF witnessed a sophisticated advancement in its operational and professional domains. In the past year, the force stood first among CAPFs in terms of gender parity, bolstering its counterterrorism capabilities. Under the leadership of the said DG, the force enhanced its multifaceted response mechanism both on and off the field, becoming a more effective and sagacious force.

The retiring DG's leadership style can be best described as low-key. Yet, it has brought about significant and seismic reforms at both professional and operational levels, which is a testament to the power of silent leadership with a strategic focus. His tenure, in many ways, mirrors that of the former DGP of Punjab and DG of CAPF, P.C. Dogra, Padma Shri. Dogra was a legendary IPS officer, known for his 'shadow blaze' leadership style. He not only modernised the CAPF organisation but also oversaw the successful implementation of counter-insurgency operations in Punjab, all while maintaining a low profile.
