    Sumant Narain IA&AS 2000 batch, who is presently posted in cadre, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, for an overall tenure up to 02.01.2028, by temporarily downgrading a vacant post of Additional Secretary, Government of India.
