In a major development, top sources indicate that former Law Secretary Raj Kumar Goyal, IAS of the 1990 batch and UT cadre, is likely to be appointed as the Chief Information Commissioner.
Along with CIC it has been said that eight IC members have been also been shortlisted, which most likely include former Railway Board Chairman Jaya Verma Sinha, former Secretary of Social Justice and Empowerment S.S Meena, retired IPS officer Swagat Das, Ashutosh Chaturvedi, former IFoS Kushwant Singh Sethi, Sudha Rani Relangi and former IAS Sanjeev Jindal ho served as Additional Secretary in MHA.
