Sadanand Date, IPS officer, Maharashtra 1990 batch, recently returned to his parent cadre from central deputation as DG National Investigation Agency(NIA), has taken over as Maharashtra DGP. Date paid a courtesy visit/call on to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Date is a counter terror specialist with vast experience in investigating counter terror cases, he is also known to have shown exemplary courage during the 26/11 attacks.
