After the resignation of Sudhanshu Pant, two names are leading for the next Chief Secretary of Rajasthan. First is R.K. Mishra, who is currently Secretary of Fertilisers and has been serving in the centre since 2019. He has almost three years of service in hand. Second, Tanmay Kumar is the Environment Secretary and has been serving in the centre since 2020. He has almost a year in hand before retirement, due in September 2026. Top sources indicate that Mishra is the frontrunner for the next Chief Secretary of Rajasthan.
