JMM till recently kept cards close to the chest in the support of the NDA candidate. Source says when BJP government under Raghuvir Das CM was in Jharkhand two different acts were initiated by the state government but considering both anti-tribal and Dalit the then Governor, Ms Draupadi Murmu returned the bill saying to reconsider. JMM during elections propagated this act of BJP as anti tribals and Dalits and sought votes. Source says this helped JMM to come to power and was bound to return the favor probably this became a compulsion to JMM to favor Ms Murmu.
