The Vishwa Bharti University was founded by Ravindra Nath Tagore also a winner of the prestigious Nobel prize. His son later handed over a piece of land measuring approximately 1.38 acres to the family of Amartya Sen in 1943 on lease source says. Later the university became a central university and since then no management or state government dug the paper but recently the authorities of the university issued a notice to Amartya Sen, the most vocal critic of the present central government to vacate the bungalow source says. The authorities say that 0.13 acres of land out of a total of 1.38 areas belonging to the university and family are unauthorized occupant source says.
