It may not be only coincidence that the parliamentary affairs minister announced for special session of parliament from the 18th to the 22nd of September and the next day it was put in the air that the government is eager to work on one nation one election agenda source says. For summoning the special session the house secretariats have to do some formalities but seems this time nothing has been followed source says. The one-time head of the nation has been given the task to submit a report to the government on the agenda of one nation one election source says. This shows that he will work under the government and report to the government, a source says. If the session is summoned to get the bill on this subject passed then it is not clear how many days have been allowed for the committee to prepare the report source says. It is also not clear whether the Election Commission is geared up to hold the election of the entire country together when the EC could not manage elections of two states together source says. The point is taking around for many years, and to save a lot of money, the possibilities must be explored, but what will be the fate of state governments nearing completion of their terms needs to be looked into source says.
