CM of Tamil Nadu is known for his anti-Hindi stand in the country. His party always opposed the northern interference in the southern states and opposed the implementation of government policy on Hindi throughout the country source says. Recently he invited Hindi-speaking state ex-CM Akhilesh Yadav to unveil the statue of ex-PM V P Singh on the campus of a prestigious college in Chennai source says. Late V P Singh, Ex-PM, is still remembered for implementing the Mandal Commission report, a source says. The report had promised the downtrodden and weaker section of society their dues and allowed 27% reservation source says. This social engineering brought a tsunami in the society source says. Perhaps the move is to soften the anti-Hindi image and increase acceptability in the northern states source says. He thinks that the future of I.N.D.I.A is bright and he will have to sit with leaders of the north like Nitish Kumar, Akhilesh Yadav, Tejaswi Yadav and others to create goodwill amongst all such leaders, he will have to soften the image of Tamil Rashtravad and the anti-Hindi source says. For this, he probably thought to honour one Hindi-speaking ex-PM known for tremendous welfare for OBC and ensured the presence of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, another leader of a Hindi-speaking state source says. Perhaps with this, he has hinted that his vision is very big and it will not be any surprise for the country if he plays the central role in the coming days source says.
