Even after four meetings, it seems the parties of the alliance differed on seat-sharing formula. Regional parties claim a big chunk, leaving very little scope to challenge BJP candidates for Congress. The reason is an almost dismal outcome during the last parliamentary and assembly elections source says. Offering little numbers also carries regional leaders' hidden ambition/ agenda to claim the PM position after grabbing debatable numbers in coming parliamentary elections, marring the chance of the Congress party to claim source says. It is the personal ambition of the regional leaders that has provided an open field to the present central ruling party during elections source says. These leaders fail to understand that their ambition will die in case of defeat of opposition candidates and they will remain as they are source says. The differences amongst the leadership of opposition parties are good for the BJP in the coming days and probably they must be fanning the reasons to appear on the surface source says. TMC leader is ready to leave only two seats, SP wants the Congress to limit themselves below ten seats, RJD and JD(U ) want to restrict numbers to four, AAP has offered two seats in Punjab and one in Delhi and more interesting Shiv Sena wants to contest all seats in Maharashtra source says. The demand of Congress is probably based on the best performance in years without taking the latest last results source says. Though no one comes open to say that he or she wants to lead and for this, the numbers of winning candidates after elections will be crucial and for that, only all these table and over-the-table demands are being forwarded source says. To keep unity intact, and understand the hidden agenda of these regional parties, the Congress party will have to sacrifice their claim and bow against the demand of regional leaders, the source says. This is necessary to show them their actual worth in the coming parliamentary elections source says.
