Many of the important cabinet ministers are from Rajya Sabha. The party wants to field many of them to contest the coming parliamentary elections. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is one of them. She was seen active in Tamilnadu some time back for party work and seen interacting with commoners in the market likely to contest from Tamilnadu to create a scope for the BJP to enter the southern states. She is strong and popular as well in her own Tamilnadu source says. The Railway minister is representing Odisha, but his upbringing is from Rajasthan. Ashwini Vaishnaw was a very popular IAS officer in Odisa when resigned. The party is yet to decide from where to field source saya. The maharaja is likely to contest from Gwalior or Guna.
