At one time it was almost final that Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP would finalise alliance. Both parties almost reached an agreement but three conditions forwarded by Akalis derailed the talk a source says. Akali wanted that Khalistan supporter ‘Waris Punjab De’ organisation leader Amritpal Singh should be freed immediately, the second all Khalistani supporters presently in Jails to be released and third the ban on Khalistani supporters presently residing in foreign countries visiting the country should be lifted immediately source says. The BJP was not ready to agree to any one of three conditions and the negotiations collapsed source says.
