    J P Nadda's term is over, but he continues as BJP chief despite having a berth in the central cabinet. It seems that BJP wants Nadda to continue as president until the assembly elections in three states are over. The disagreement between the RSS and BJP, including the name of the party president, is evident. After the NEET episode, RSS wanted the HR Minister to take responsibility and resign, but BJP leadership did not agree. Likewise, RSS wanted Gadkari to be given a finance portfolio based on his past performance and Shivraj Singh to be nominated as party president but this has also not been agreed upon by BJP leadership a source says. The rift is widening, and quick decisions to resolve the issues are necessary in this changed political scenario source says.
