    State BJP leaders, backed by influential figures in national politics, made concerted efforts to remove Yogi from power. However, the efforts of Anupriya Patel, A K Sharma, Nishad, Maurya, and other silent leaders were thwarted, according to sources. Yogi has reportedly declined a tempting ministerial position in Delhi, choosing instead to go to  Gorakhpur. It appears that Yogi has learned to navigate the political landscape and is not bending to the will of central leaders. Sources indicate that Yogi is determined to continue as Chief Minister, but has been tasked with securing victory in at least eight seats in the upcoming by-elections source says.
