The possible return of Gulam Nabi Azad to the Congress party has been the subject of much speculation and rumour. Once a prominent and powerful Congress leader, Azad had left the party amid talk of joining the BJP. However, he chose to establish his own party, focusing on activities in the Jammu and Kashmir region.
