The current state Congress president of Bihar, Akhilesh Prasad, is believed to have close ties to Lalu Yadav, according to sources. Despite efforts by state leaders to have him replaced, the high command has not yet acted upon their requests. A recent visit by a delegation of state Congress leaders to Delhi to request his removal went unanswered, with concerns raised that failure to take action could greatly damage the party's prospects in upcoming elections source says. In an unexpected turn of events, the state Congress president wrote to the high command calling for the removal of Ajay Singh, a district president of Saran, alleging significant damage caused by his actions. Ajay Singh, hailing from a Rajput family, has previously served as the President of Bihar Sewa Dal and Kissan Congress, and even contested against Rabri Devi in the past. Akhilesh Prasad suspects Ajay Singh of orchestrating the defeat of his son, Akash, in the 2024 parliamentary elections from Maharajganj source says. Akash son of Akhilesh Prasad had previously been associated with Upendra Kushwaha and had contested an election on that party's ticket source says. The situation surrounding Akash's sudden shift to the Congress party, securing a ticket to contest from Maharajganj, remains shrouded in mystery.  Akhilesh Prasad doubts that because Ajay Singh wanted a ticket for his son Sri Krishna Har from Maharaj gunj played foul source says. Sri Krishna Hari, an active leader in the constituency is also the All India Youth Congress Secretary and is

in charge of the MP Youth Congress source says. He endeavoured to lead a massive protest march in Patna against the NEET scandal where the All India Youth Congress President, Sri Niwas, was injured source says.
