    Recently, Sharad Pawar hosted a lunch for senior correspondents for prominent Marathi-language newspapers at his residence in Delhi. According to sources close to the event, the gathering provided an opportunity for lively discussions, particularly centered around the prevailing rumors regarding Pawar’s relationship with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). 

    The journalists were eager to ascertain if Pawar was inching closer to the BJP, a notion that had gained traction following media reports suggesting that he had engaged in discussions with the Prime Minister about positioning his daughter in the 'One Nation, One Election' initiative, a proposal reportedly met with the PM's agreement source says. However, in response to these inquiries, the seasoned politician firmly stated that he has no intention of aligning himself with the BJP. 

    The conversation then shifted to his relationship with his nephew, Ajit Pawar. When questioned about the possibility of reconciliation, Sharad Pawar expressed his reluctance to associate with any leader lacking significant public influence, particularly when it comes to securing elections for his family members, including his wife and son source says.
