    A BJP candidate hailing from an affluent neighborhood found himself compelled to abruptly leave a crucial meeting. This political figure, infamous for his brash public remarks, had secured a ticket for the Delhi Assembly representing a prestigious colony source says. However, his characteristic candor clashed sharply with the expectations of the upscale locality, which favored more measured and polished discourse. Recognizing the challenge presented by the unfamiliar environment, he reached out to an old acquaintance from the area for assistance. This contact, a former president of the Residents' Welfare Association (RWA), offered his support in navigating the intricacies of local sentiment. Acting on his advice, a small tea party was organized at the ex-president's residence, with an invitation extended to around 40 to 50 prominent figures from the community source says.     However, the atmosphere shifted dramatically when one of the ex-army officers present articulated a critical observation. He pointedly remarked that despite the commendable efforts of political leaders, their hard work could be overshadowed by inappropriate language used by representatives like the candidate, both in public and within parliament source says. The tension escalated, leading to a heated exchange, and the candidate’s choice of words became increasingly abrasive. This discomfort led many of those in attendance to vote with their feet, leaving the gathering in dismay.
