Harish Khurana, the son of the late Madan Lal Khurana, has emerged as a promising new candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi. His father, Madan Lal Khurana, was a pivotal figure in the party's rise, known for transforming the BJP from a party primarily representing the middle class and business sector into a more inclusive force that engaged with the diverse communities of Delhi, particularly in the Jhuggi and Jhopari (slum) areas. Madan Lal Khurana's leadership played a significant role in the BJP's initial foray into these underrepresented neighborhoods, ultimately leading to the party forming the government in the capital.

In a strategic move to leverage his father’s enduring legacy, the BJP has decided to nominate Harish Khurana for the Moti Nagar constituency, a seat previously held by his father. This decision reflects the party's intention to tap into the loyalty and respect that Madan Lal Khurana garnered during his political career. By endorsing Harish, the BJP aims to rekindle the support of the electorate in this key area and secure a victory in the upcoming assembly elections.
