Constitution for Hindu Rashtra Nears Completion?

A significant development has emerged with the news that a group of intellectuals, predominantly affiliated with various universities, has meticulously drafted a comprehensive Constitution for a Hindu Rashtra, spanning nearly 501 pages source says. This pivotal document is set to be unveiled on Basant Panchami during the grand gathering of Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. Speculation surrounds the extent of support this initiative has from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), with sources indicating uncertainty regarding their involvement. 

The drafting committee is linked to the Hindu Rashtra Samvidhan Nirmal Samiti, a group led by Swami Anand Swarup Maharaj, who serves as the Sanrakshak (protector) of the samiti source says. Maharaj has expressed ambitious goals, stating that they aim to transform India into a Hindu Rashtra by the year 2035. He further emphasized that the primary objective of this document is to engage the public in thoughtful deliberation before it is finalized source says. The drafting committee is comprised mainly of Sanatani and Sanskrit scholars, showcasing a wide array of academic and philosophical backgrounds.

In the corridors of power, leaders of the current governing party, along with others, are deeply immersed in discussions concerning the existing Constitution. This environment of active contemplation casts doubt on the feasibility of introducing an entirely new constitutional framework.
