The political landscape in Karnataka is rife with unrest as the once revered leaders of the Lingayat community, notably Yeddyurappa, find themselves sidelined from the state's political helm source says. In his stead, his son Vijayendra has taken charge of the state unit, fervently striving to keep the various factions within the party united for a brighter future. However, whispers of discontent linger; factions within the party are increasingly vocal about their grievances, fueling suspicions of mismanagement.

Recently, a delegation of dissenting leaders opposed to Vijayendra took the bold step of meeting B L Santosh, the central party in charge, as well as the party president, to voice their concerns regarding the state president's leadership source said. Their complaints paint a picture of Vijayendra as a domineering figure, stifling the contributions of others and creating an atmosphere of apprehension. Despite the immense support from his father and the robust backing of his community, the central leadership faces a daunting challenge.
