 The father of Pravesh Verma, Sahib Singh was a very popular CM of Delhi. Pravesh inherited the legacy and became a prominent BJP leader of the state. He was sure to be considered for the CM position. Pravesh Verma also tried to promote his candidature through Hardeep Puri and Jai Shankar, a source says. Rajasthan, MP and western UP, Jat leaders were also trying for him and were waiting to get an appointment with Shah to pursue but unfortunately could not get it. Ultimately, Pravesh managed to get time from the party president. Source say that Party President showed his displeasure over unnecessary hype being created.

  It has also been said the candidature was affected by a WhatsApp group created by some enthusiastic and prominent media people covering Delhi to pass on the latest information and persuade authorities with the popularity, which backfired, a source says. Anyhow with great persuasion, he could manage a position in the cabinet with assurance to be made deputy CM. This information was inserted into the WhatsApp group and Verma was surprised when inducted as a minister only source says.
