The newly formed government is facing stiff criticism from Muslim as well as Hindu conservatives for opening new liquor shops in the state source says. The government has approved the opening of an additional 107 shops and feels that more shops will fetch more revenue for the government. During last year the government has earned nearly 2,000 crores from the sale of liquor source says. The conservatives say the Gujrat government is fetching a handsome amount from other sources without the sale of liquor and the state government should find some other ways to fetch revenue instead of Liquor sources.
