    The government is trying to become the third-largest economy in the world. This requires more budget to present the country and solidify the approach, the source says. To achieve these objectives all missions, high commissions and other related organisations need money to spend and manpower to keep tabs on the developments source says. The permanent committee was shocked to see the papers while discussing the budget allocations related to the Ministry of External Affairs source says.

    The budget allocation was reduced considerably and it was more shocking to note that the number of officers is much less than sanctioned posts. The permanent committee has recommended at least increasing allocation by 20% in the coming year and also to start the process to fill all the vacant posts source says.
