Revitalization of Sewa Dal Within Congress Party?

Rahul Gandhi has pledged to a delegation of approximately 35 coordinators, led by Amerhi, MP, that the Sewa Dal will soon be revitalized. Historically, during the tenures of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, the Sewa Dal served as a crucial organizational force, instrumental in developing party infrastructure and managing activities at the grassroots level, as per sources. Taking into account the suggestions of seasoned party members, Rahul Gandhi has expressed his commitment to return to foundational principles. As part of this initiative, new training sessions are set to commence, aimed at empowering cadres at the booth level and strengthening the party's base source says.

Importantly, the year 2025 has been designated as ‘Sangathan Nirman’ (Organization Building) by the Congress party to signify this renewed focus on organizational strength. The newly appointed in-charge of Bihar, Krishna Alwaru, alongside the state president Rajesh Ram, has been tasked with the critical mission of rebuilding the party's cadre from the ground up source says.
