From orchestrating election strategies to stepping into the political arena himself, Prashant Kishore dedicated considerable effort to ensure the success of the Bihar Badlaw Rally. However, in a turn of events that bucked expectations, only a few thousand supporters gathered, rather than the anticipated five lakh. Sources suggest that despite the organizers' efforts—providing food and free transportation—many seemed to perceive Kishore's intentions, leading them to opt for a more cautious stance source says.

Kishore appeared to be targeting the support base of the RJD, Congress, and JD(U), seemingly aiming to bolster the BJP’s position indirectly through his emerging Jan Suraj Party. A video surfaced online, capturing a group of women who attended the rally, stirring controversy as it was alleged that local leaders, or Mukhiya ji, had incentivized their participation with promises of monetary compensation and even a gold chain as an election lure source says.

The disappointing turnout likely prompted the BJP to reconsider Kishore's leeway, as internal surveys indicated his party might only attract around 2% of the vote source says. Learning from this experience, Kishore hinted at a shift in focus during a post-rally address, suggesting he was not overly concerned about the upcoming 2025 elections but rather laying the groundwork for a potential campaign in 2030 source says.
