    Chandra Babu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and a seasoned leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has cultivated a close relationship with the Prime Minister. His frequent trips to the national capital often see him returning with significant allocations from central funds intended to benefit the people of his state, as sources reveal. Just prior to Operation Sindoor, Naidu made a strategic visit to the capital to extend an invitation to the Prime Minister. After scheduled meetings also engaged in private discussions with a senior leader from the BJP. 

    Top sources say, Naidu expressed concerns regarding the TDP's bargaining position ahead of the 2024 elections. He highlighted that, despite the assurances made to the party regarding three cabinet positions in the central government, so far, only one cabinet member and one state minister from the TDP have been appointed  The BJP leader assured Naidu that this issue was under review and hinted that the promised appointments might materialize during the upcoming reshuffle. The air was thick with anticipation as both leaders navigated the delicate balance of political allegiance and strategic positioning, keenly aware of the stakes involved in the impending electoral contest source says.
