Dharmendra Pradhan Set For New President of BJP?

Currently, J.P Nadda continues to serve as the party’s president; however, sources indicate that a significant shift is on the horizon, with the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) aiming to appoint a new leader by June 15. While the clock is ticking, four states, including Uttar Pradesh, have  to finalize their state presidents by this deadline. 

Nevertheless, the party appears determined to resolve these matters in order to pave the way for a fresh face at the national level source says. As of now, Dharmendra Pradhan stands at the forefront of this leadership race, with the BJP and RSS seemingly converging on his candidacy. Until his name is officially declared, however, one must tread cautiously about pronouncements regarding his ascension. Bhupendra Yadav, another notable contender, is also in the mix, sharing the OBC background with Pradhan. Yet, given Yadav’s role as a key supporter behind Pradhan, his elevation seems increasingly imminent source says. The anticipated rise of an OBC leader to the top post within the party is expected to resonate positively in key battlegrounds like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, a strategic move that could reshape the party's dynamics in these pivotal regions source says.
