Mamta Banerjee- An Astute Player of Politics?

Mamta Banerjee, CM of West Bengal is a seasoned political leader and knows how to keep her folk intact in the onslaught of political parties, especially from BJP sources. On 10th June she announced two additional lists of OBC, OBC -1 and OBC -2. The move surprised almost all and the BJP aggressively started opposing it because they knew that the inclusion of caste - mainly from the Muslims would hamper their chances in coming state elections source says. Previously the High Court of Kolkata removed 113 castes from the list and only 66 remained. The new list with the addition of 76 castes now brings it to 140 sources.  BJP is opposed to the move because 80 castes are from the Muslim community only source says. 

Out of these two lists list one ie. OBC -1 consists of 51 castes and OBC -2 has 25 new castes out of a total of 76 newly added castes source says. After a lot of uproar, the matter has gone to Supreme Court and probably next month the first hearing is possible source says.
